Twittered into unemployment

Fresh off my twitter feed: Fake Stephen Conroy has been fired for contravening Telstra’s AWA that mandates that you don’t criticise Telstra — ever — even in jest”.

Unconfirmed as yet, but I would have thought that no company of the size and sophistication of Telstra would be that petty. Apparently I would have been wrong.

EDITED TO ADD:

This post on his personal bog was the cited reason.

As an interesting aside, I’ve just wasted nearly two hours trying to post this update because my wireless 3G gateway (supplied by a prominent telecommunications company who will remain nameless) is complete unmitigated pants.

Just sayin’.

EDITED TO ADD:

Good Grief it’s happened again. Or has it? Apparently no one knows.

EDITED TO ADD:

This is turning into a bloody live blog.

Leslie Nassar has his own say about todays’s events, and responds to a blog post by Telstra’s CTO Dr Hugh Bradlow.
