Where I write

Via Luke Burrage’s blog this morning I’ve come across the Where I Write Project, an photo essay by Kyle Cassidy (who shot the beautiful and disturbing Who Killed Amanda Palmer book) describing the work spaces of a number of renound Science Fiction and Fantasy authors.

The juxtaposition between almost clinical neatness and choas is intriguing. I probably fall somewhere in the middle – I find it hard to work in a messy or cluttered space, but at the same time I need texture and character as a catalyst to inspiration. Just being difficult I guess.

Apparently a much larger collection of images and interviews is in the progress of being compiled into a book. Have to keep an eye out for that one.
